    JOB SUMMARY:

    At Centers Plan for Healthy Living (CPHL), our market-leading Medicare Advantage benefits and aggressive marketing has seniors calling in daily to become members.  Are you the right person to sign them up?

     

    Two (2) Licensed Medicare representative positions are now open for New York State licensed Accident/Health Insurance producers.  As a Licensed Medicare Rep, you have two important jobs to do:  the first part of your job is to actively sell the Medicare product directly over the phone for CPHL.  Can't close the sale?  Not a problem!  the second part of the job will be to schedule appointments for field reps when a phone-close proves impossible.  CPHL has a strong team of field Marketing Reps who will give it a second face-to-face.  If you've got the right combination of sales acumen, professionalism, phone presence, organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple issues at once, then sky is the limit.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for selling CPHL's Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug products and reaching monthly sales minimums.
    • Responsible for setting qualified appointments for Field Marketing Reps.
    • Engage in consultative sales in a professional manner.
    • Provides thorough and effective customer service including timely responses and follow-ups to all prospects and members.
    • Maintains working knowledge of all CPHL Medicare products and services as well as those competing plans; be able to illustrate  such differences to prospective members.
    • Maintenance of leads and work-related records (both digital and paper), and logging and recording of all CPHL-related activity.
    • Ability to work from home if necessary and manitain aforementioned records, logs and recordings.
    • Works cooperatively and professionally with departmental and inter-departmental co-workers.
    • Participates in department meetings and trainings.
    • Ability to maintain licensure required.
    • Meet CMS compliance standards when engaging in any and all CPHL-related activity.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

     

    Education

    Required:  High School Diploma or Equivalency

    Preferred:  College diploma or Some College

     

    Type of Experience

    Required:  Two (2) years of health Insurance sales experience

    Preferred:  Four (4) or more years of Medicare sales

     

    Specific Technical Skills

    Required:  N/A

    Preferred:  N/A

     

    Certifications/Licensure:

    Required:  Valid and clean NYS Life/Health Insurance

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Required:

    • Excellent verbal communication skills including, but not limited to, clear, confident speaking voice, ability to establish rapport with prospects and most importantly, the ability to adhere to a CMS-compliant script WITHOUT sounding scripted, and the ability to close sales over the phone.
    • Above average computer skills.  Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn and become proficient with call center software for managing calls, CRM software for managing prospect client/interactions, Internal client-managed software such as Case Trakker, Medicare/Medicaid industry-specific software such as ePaces and Marx, mass-market business software such as Microsoft Office, etc.
    • Energetic and motivated.  Prospects must FEEL your energy on the phone.
    • Proven record of sales success and ability to translate that ability to phone sales.
    • Ability to perform administrative duties such as sales reports, scheduling, etc.
    • Strong oral and written communications required.
    • Ability to think logically and problem solve required.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks required.
    • Ability to work in team environment required.

    Preferred:

    • Bilingual representatives preferred; Spanish speaking ideal.
    • Telemarketing/telesales experience helpful.
    • Experience in Medicare and Medicaid products recommended.
