    JOB SUMMARY:

     

    The RN UAS reviewer is responsible for reviewing the assessments completed by Field Intake RNs, insuring consistency, quality and accuracy of documentation in compliance with NYDOH MLTC regulations and CPHL policies

     

    Responsibilities

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Review all pre-enrollment documentations, including UAS and CPHL enrollment documents, utilizing consistency tools to insure accuracy and appropriateness for plan.
    • Complete regular reports to management on UAS reviews.
    • Provide Field Intake RNs with feedback on documentation errors while guiding them towards documentation improvement.
    • Identify areas for and assist in continuing education and training as needed to meet all CPHL standards and insure Intake operates within its stated policies and procedures for assessing potential MLTC members.
    • Additional assignments and duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

     

    Education

     

    Required: 

    ·         Graduate of a 2-4 year accredited nursing program

    ·         Active and unrestricted NYS RN license

    ·         UAS Assessment/certification

     

    Preferred:   

    ·         Bachelor of Science in Nursing or advanced degree

    ·         CCM certification

     

    Type of Experience      

     

    Required:   

    ·         Community-based home visiting RN experience

    ·         Knowledge of MLTC regulatory requirements

    ·         Knowledge of current community health practices and resources available for the frail adult population, behavioral health and cognitively impaired seniors and disabled including knowledge of physical health, aging and loss, appropriate support services in the community, frequently used medications and their potential negative side-effects, depression, challenging behaviors, Alzheimer’s disease and other disease related dementias.

     

                                  

    Knowledge and Skills

     

    Required:

    ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    ·         Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools

    ·         Ability to meet tight deadlines

    ·         Strong problem solving skills

     

    Certification/ Licensure:

     

    Required:

    ·         Active and unrestricted NYS RN license

    ·         Valid driver’s license
